“After going through a ‘traditional’ building process for our house, the process to design and build with steel was a breeze, by comparison. My experience working with both Web Steel and Aldercrest Construction was nothing but positive and professional, so I happily endorse both companies. The end result is an amazing shop/office that gets compliments from everyone who sees it.

Working with Randy from Web Steel was great. In as little as 30 minutes, we were able to draft up both a 2D and 3D representation of our 30’x50’ shop, including roof pitch, office location and door/window placement, so we knew exactly what it was going to look like. Everything with Web Steel was a straightforward process. Web Steel recommended Aldercrest Construction as a General Contractor (GC) to work with for erecting and finishing the shop. From the first meeting with Layton Leland, from Aldercrest,

I knew that we found the right GC for the project. He was able to visualize how we wanted to make the shop compliment the look of our house and provided some very valuable insights. The entire build process only took a few months from start to finish, which is great considering the build started in October when the rainy season begins in Oregon. His crew was very friendly and professional, where the build site was cleaned up daily.

If you’ve ever built a house, you can appreciate builders that pick up after themselves. Little things like that just made the build process a pleasure. Layton was actively involved for every county inspection, so there were no surprises about failed inspections. I would make a daily visit out to the build site and his crew would always ask for feedback to make sure that everything was exactly how I wanted it. This helped prevent any surprises, since Layton wanted to make sure our vision was implemented, as compared to taking liberties with design and material selection that some builders do.”
